Here is the pic of the day!!!I took this image on a visit to Mount Washington with my mother in law. The city at night from this place is amazing, I love to go up there and take some shots of the many bridges and wonderful view of the City of Steel.
You can see many things from Mount Washington, its a great place to take your family on a Saturday evening and find a nice restaurant around or even ice cream place.
Pittsburgh is very cold and cloudy during the winter months but during the summer is just PERFECT!Not too hot, not too humid. Very moderate and wonderful to sit outside and enjoy the weather.

Three Rivers String Quartet

What a wonderful day for a wedding. It sure was warm but we all thought it was going to rain. It had being raining for two days in a row so it was difficult to think sunny was part of the forecast. But we all prayed and voila!!!Sunny it was!
Eduardo and Angel are made for each other. Angel is patient and kind (she is an angel after all) and Eduardo y loving and caring. You can really feel how much they care for each other. Its wonderful to capture this celebration of love with family and friends.

When you work as a photographer you not only meet wonderful brides, grooms and families you also meet wonderful people that are in the same business as you (vendors). I had the pleasure of working with Mark Thomas from Thomas Entertainment and it sure made a difference. Mark was welcoming, very responsable, on time and more than willing to work with me so his equipment would not interfere with my photography. I cannot thank him enough for that! He sure didn't know I wanted to mentioned him on my blog so he was so nice without expecting anything in return. It was great that he wanted to include me in what he was about to do so I wouldn't miss any detail of the ceremony and reception. I have to say he was very organized and helpful. His disco light show is awesome and he has a wonderful way of approaching people.

Guardia Family Reunion - Part II

Every time we get together there is always a camera. We are a big family and we love to pass these images from generation to generation. I have tons of pictures of my great grandparents, my grandmother and all her 14 siblings, my mom and my mom's cousins when they were young and now me with my family. These images will be passed onto my children and my children's children. It's great to know that this is something that unite us!!!We love taking pictures, are you kidding? We cannot find a time when we didn't document the moment with a group picture!!!That is why I love what I do. We get to go back and laugh at fashion trends, old hair styles and admire the beauty of or moms, grandmothers, aunts. Having those memories still present everytime we look at an old picture is amazing. Here is my family, doing what they do best!

Pic of the day - Tuesday

OMG!!!This is just too cute. The "pic of the day" is a little bit more than just ONE picture because they are just soo darn cute. These are the pictures I found in my memory card of a family get-together we had a couple of weeks back. Here is my daughter with her little cousin Kyle Jr and her cousin Ryan. We got together for Christmas and got to meet my cousins and their families for the first time. So this was our second time this year. I hope Karina and little Kyle get to see each other more often because family is so important and come on, who wouldn't want to see these two chunky babies playing around and getting into trouble. We are so lucky to have this big wonderful funny family. Cannot wait for the next reunion. Have a good one!!!

PS: The babies really DON'T like the grass!!!that is why you can see tons of "I don't like this" faces because trust me, we tried to make them laugh but they weren't having any of that.

Miller’s 2010 Baby & Child Contest will be held online, allowing you to help determine the winners by voting for your favorite portraits.

Categories for this year’s contest include: Color, Black & White/Sepia, Special Needs, and Humorous. The online contest will consist of four different qualifying rounds and one final round. Each round will last for one month. Miller’s customers will be able to post entries during the first three weeks of every qualifying month and vote during the last week of the month. Posting and voting deadlines are listed:

We will be changing the voting interface from the 2009 contest, allowing customers to view entries as thumbnails, hopefully speeding up the voting process. Posting and voting deadlines are listed:

Round 1 (March): Post Entries – March 1 – 21. Vote on Entries – March 22 – 31.
Round 2 (April): Post Entries – April 1 – 21. Vote on Entries – April 22 – 30.
Round 3 (May): Post Entries – May 1 – 21. Vote on Entries – May 22 – 31.
Round 4 (June): Post Entries – June 1 – 21. Vote on Entries – June 22 – 30.

For each qualifying round, the top five winners will be selected from the four categories and will receive a studio sample of their winning image. These winning portraits will be entered into the Final Round, which takes place during the month of July. The Final Round will be judged online by a panel of esteemed photographers. First, Second, and Third places, as well as two Honorable Mentions, will be announced for each category! Cash prizes for these winners include $2,000 for First, $1,000 for Second, $750 for Third, and $500 for each Honorable Mention. One portrait from the Final Round will also receive the highest of accolades -- Grand Prize Winner. The cash prize will be $5,000 for this lucky winner! All cash prizes will be given to the families of the winning portraits.
