A small but beautiful wedding

It was a very small but beautiful wedding. It was all about family. Shauna's dad is a Pastor and he was the one getting them married. I can see Shauna's happiness in every single picture and Alex's face filled with excitement, it sure was so exciting to document. The pastor said beautiful words to all of us present and to his loving daughter, it almost put tears in my eyes but I had to take pictures. The evening was short but the memories will last a lifetime. Congratulations Alex and Shauna. Have a wonderful life together!!!

Finally me and Karina

If you are a photographer you know that you are usually the one behind the camera and usually you are not in any picture. I have tons of pictures of my husband, my sisters, my niece and nephew and all of them together but none of me, also I always say I am a photographer not a model and its better for me to keep it that way...hahaha :) but I have being wanting to take pictures of me with my daughter and although, I could try to do it on my own, Karina will never look at a camera in a tripod. So, I had to take advantage that my big sis is in town so here they are!!!My chance to be in a picture, finally!!Enjoy them...I certainly do love them.

My sister is in town

My sister and my godson came to visit for three weeks. They came to meet Karina and to help me with her during my surgery. Its being a lot of fun to have them here, I wish they didn't have to go home but my brother in law is "really" waiting for them. My sister shares my passion for photography, she is a photographer as well and everytime we get together we cannot help take pictures of our kids and family. I first took pictures of her and my godson, later you will see what a great job she did with Karina and me.

A morning of Yoga

It was really early in the morning. Beautiful sunrise, still a little cold from the cold night but we are both excited. I wake up at 7:30 am and take a look outside. It is still dark but you can see the sun in the horizon. I get my gear and drive to South Park where Mike is supposed to meet me for a morning of yoga. He is excited as well and very responsible. I arrive early to test the lighting but he does as well, not to test the lighting, to stretch and make sure he is ready for the shoot. He is calm and ready to go. He takes his shoes off and off we go. We spend the next couple of hours talking and shooting and exercising, well at least someone was, I was taking the pictures. It was a great morning. I hope he likes the pictures!

Julie and Chris - October 2009

Julie and Chris contacted me a long time ago. It still feels like it was yesterday because they are such wonderful people. They seemed very excited to let me photograph their wedding and I could not ask for better clients. After their engagement session in downtown Pittsburgh, I felt like we became friends; I even invited Julie to my babyshower. She is such an honest and sweet person. We have being in contact since then and I cannot believe we are almost there. I cannot wait!!!

Engagement Session - Alex and Shauna

I woke up and it was pouring outside. I thought "this is a mess, there is no way we can shoot nice pictures under these conditions" but it was going to be the only chance I would get to spend with Shauna and Alex before their wedding so I called her and said: "Shauna, we will make it work, I will see you soon". I still cannot believe we spent about an hour shooting in the rain. Shauna and Alex were wonderful and they did everything I suggested for their pictures. We laughed about the rain and how fast we would have to jump back in the car. We laughed about Alex holding the girly umbrella and how difficult it was for me to hold the umbrella, the flash and my camera at the same time. But we made it, I love the images because they reflect how they really feel for each other. I am sure their wedding is going to be wonderful.

Happy B-Day Daddy

Recently my husband turned 32 y/o. Its his first birthday as a dad and of course, me being a photographer, I have to document all these important dates. Karina is almost used to the camera. She is three months old and recognizes my voice and follows it around, which makes the process much easier. We enjoy together and laugh about all the silly things my daughter does. Dad is no stranger to the camera. My poor husband always has to endure my tests. They are both wonderful.
